It is always a good idea to have your blogs backed up, as you have spent so much precious time in writing or doing the researches for your post content. Keeping a complete blog back up locally offers much more than disaster recovery:

  • Rebuild your blog instantly when your server hard drive crashes
  • Migrate your blog to another server or host when the original blog host is shutting down, no longer maintained or deteriorates in terms of service quality, just like in the case of Microsoft shutting down Windows Live Spaces
  • Set up additional mirror blogs for more exposure and web traffics
  • Browse your blog posts even when you are offline

When it comes to backing up your blog, it’s an extremely simple process with WebStory. You have two ways of doing blog backup with WebStory, i.e.:

  1. Perform the blog back up when you set up your blog account, as explained here: http://webstory.my/support/how-to/add-a-blog-account/#blogbackup
  2. Back up your blog via the Backup Blog menu, which will be explained in the following section.

Perform Regular Blog Backup

To back up a blog after your blog account has been set up, you may access the Blog Backup menu as shown below:
